Inspired by the birth of their son in 2002, Surya, who has a background in chemistry and zoology, and her husband, Dave, an educator, wanted to create a line of products that helped the development of their son. Surya and David knew that they wanted their brand to encompass development through visuals, so they began to do a lot of research on black and white stimulation. They were learning alongside their son and now have a product line that reaches up to 5 years of age.
